Don't worry...we're not adding more obligations to what could be an overwhelming to-do list.
The holidays can be stressful for all women at any stage.
Gift buying, financial concerns, family drama, travel stress, and end-of-year work goals can all make this time of year less than festive.
Here are some small things you can do to turn anxiety into calm and gratitude...during the holiday season or any time throughout the year.
Above all, never compare yourself to another woman. Discover ways to bring joy in your life that work for YOU.
Add self-care to your calendar as if it's a meeting. Even if it's a 5-minute meditation, plan for unplugging.
Take a digital detox. Scrolling = stress.
Use your end-of-year PTO to treat yourself to some time just for you.
Buy yourself a small gift while you're out shopping for loved ones.
Make time to call an old friend or colleague to catch up.
If you like to write (or use ChatGPT) compose a brief summary of your 2024 accomplishments.
Volunteer. (We at SOS are looking for help year-round or find a local cause that speaks to you.)
Take a drive or stroll to enjoy the holiday lights.
Watch a rom-com or another uplifting show or movie.
Plan a fun gathering (or sign up for someone else's) for 2025.
And, because our theme this month is gratitude, reflect on those things in 2024 that brought you joy and strength. This summary of a recent Table for Six event may spark some ideas.
